Founded in New Brunswick, Canada in 1981 by Robert Zildjian following a split with the company that bears his name, SABIAN has grown into one of the “Big Four” cymbal manufacturers along with Zildjian, Meinl and Paiste.
The AA series was introduced in 1982 and like all SABIAN cymbals, is still made in New Brunswick today. AA means “automatic anvil”, and the traditional coarse lathing technique applied by SABIAN Vault craftsmen some of whom have hand-lathed well over one million cymbals is one of the contributing factors to the wide-open vintage tone of AA cymbals.
With a bright, shimmering sound and a multi-holed design increasing the agitation in its tone, the AAX O-Zone crash delivers bite with a touch of anger.. Gon Bops have been making legendary cajons in California since 1954. This percussion pack pairs a Gon Bops walnut cajon with the AAX O-Zone crash, a 6 inch practice pad and a mounted tambourine.
