Installers looking for a quality outdoor subwoofer should check out theJBL Professional Series Control 89MS, an 8″ mushroom landscape subwoofer that’s designed to augment the low-frequency performance of the JBL Control 80 Series landscape speaker line and other outdoor systems to provide rich bass in your lawn, garden, entrance areas of hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality and retail complexes as well as theme parks, sports venues, resorts, entranceways, and anywhere a highly weather-resistant speaker is required.
The subwoofer is housed in a hunter-green enclosure made from rugged polyethylene, which can withstand the abuse of lawn care equipment as well as the elements. The 8″ woofer offers a 300W program power handling and generates an SPL of up to 115 dB with a frequency response of 53 to 110 Hz. The 8-ohm speaker also offers 70/100V operation with multiple transformer taps available.
