This 2003 Gibson SG Faded features the Crescent Moon inlay pattern over an ebony fretboard – a feature seen on SGs only for a couple years. Otherwise, it is the classic SG Faded, featuring a satin mahogany body and neck, and Gibson’s 490R/498T pickups. This particular SG has a balanced weight and thicker neck profile. Plugged in, the bridge pickup has plenty of bite, and the neck pickup is smooth with almost a scooped midrange. An included SKB SG-molded hardshell case protects the investment.
