The American Vintage Telecaster is a faithful recreation of that of one of Fender’s greatest model years.
1964 saw the pinnacle in features of the “rosewood” era of Fender production guitars. Specs include alder or ash body (depending on the finish), gloss-back maple neck, and a round laminate rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius – which is actually more comfortable to play than some accustomed to 9.5″ would infer.
This particular alder body model is well balanced, at 7 lbs, 6.5 oz – and easy to play. (Even for the righty guitar player that gave this a run through.)
