1965 Hofner (Selmer import) Super Solid III featuring 3 x Hofner Super Solid pickups with 4-way selector switch (each pickup separately + all at once!).

Featuring a lightweight body with serious checking in the nitro finish, this un-Hofner-like slim bound & blocked neck (most of them are usually U-shaped with steep shoulders) with rosewood fingerboard is sporting it’s original frets with hardly any wear to them (albeit they are a vintage size; bending is a still joy).

Iconic plaque-style gold & creme logo on black headstock with round-back machine heads & florentine style tuning keys; the Hofner 173 was the deluxe S-style back in the day and still holds up as superior-styled alternative.

Made in Germany by Hofner for Selmer (UK).

Includes original pasteboard case & original red leather strap. Missing original vibrato arm. Non original knobs.
