The Super Badass Variac Fuzz is aggressive, biting, and highly versatile. It features control to vary (hence the Vriac name) the pedal’s voltage from 5V to 15V for a wide range of fuzz tones, taking you all the way from vintage saturation to wide open transparency with the twist of a knob. Setting it low gives you instant access to the much-prized “dying battery” saggy fuzz sound, without having to carry almost flat batteries around. Increasing the voltage raises the effect’s headroom. Like all MXR pedals, it comes in a road rugged housing and features true-bypass switching to preserve the integrity of your signal when the effect is switched off.
