The Les Paul Studio is, of course, Gibson’s “less-dressed” adaptation of the iconic design.
It features everything you need out of a Les Paul – carved maple top over a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and two humbuckers with individual volume and tone, without feature-laden appointments including a figured top, body or neck binding, or an extended selection of finishes. This 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio features a pair of Gibson 490R/498T pickups, each wired for coil tapping – with a hum-cancelling middle position. The neck is a ’60s Slim Taper profile. There are hardly – if any – scratches or abrasions anywhere on the body or neck. This particular Les Paul Studio comes in at just over 8 lbs thanks to its modern weight relieved body. This 2013 Les Paul Studio is an excellent choice for the studio, stage, or practice – or addition to the collection.
