Commemorating the indispensable instruments of Fender’s “Golden Era,” the JV or “Japanese Vintage” Modified series takes cues from Fender “Japanese Vintage” reissue models made in Japan in the early 1980s. Today’s JV Modified series comes together to celebrate the style and sound of Telecasters and Stratocasters from a distinctly unique point in Fender history.
The JV Modified ’60s Stratocaster features a basswood body with the world-famous double-cutaway profile. The basswood body is paired with a maple neck with a satin finish and Soft “V”-shape profile. A maple fingerboard is equipped with Medium Jumbo-sized frets which make for an effortlessly playable experience in hand. Three chiming vintage-voiced single-coil pickups are loaded into the beautifully finished body for classic Fender sparkle and twang. A push/pull control adds the bridge pickup into pickup selection positions 1 and 2. Finally, the vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge offers stable playing and access to Fender’s famous vibrato playing effect.
